You were wrong because most people were able to see past the media
hoopla around that comment and put it into context and realized it didn't
mean diddly squat. The MEDIA wanted it to be a flashpoint of critcism
and denunciation. The PEOPLE looked at it and responded "Oh, so THAT'S
what he meant" and moved on.
Being an actor didn't mean that he was an idiot. Unlike some, he's
made money outside the movies and hasn't drunk or drugged his life and
cash away, so he can't be that stupid. You engage in the same elitist
snobbery that the left did when they dismissed Arnold as just another
face, by assuming that he can't POSSIBLY do that job because he's an
actor. In both his careers he's set goals and achieved them, despite
being laughed at along the way for his accent and all.
It used to be that we admired people who perservered in the face of
such skepticism, now some of us just keep on sneering and never let up.
Arnold won because HE understood what the electorate was saying to
the politicians. Apparently you didn't get the message either. - Charles.
