If you followed the Baton Mail setup directions, you are using "localhost" as your SMTP server in Emailer. Don't do that. Instead use "127.0.0.1". The localhost DNS entry doesn't appear to work by default in OS X (no idea why since it is a normal part of *nix host file setup, or at least I was under that impression).
