The default for Mail is to leave messages on the server. You need to change this in your account preferences. The Server will not alert you. It's assumed you do what you do for a reason. <rant> By the way, you are amongst several who are responsible for filling up mail boxes in the first place. You top post then add the entire damn thread below your one-liner, turning what could be a 1k file into a 20k file. Multiply this by ten in "digest mode" and the resultant message can be unacceptably long and difficult to follow. So please keep quoted passages short, type your reply *after* the quote, and avoid big signatures. Just because the bandwidth is available doesn't imply that we should be using all of it. ;-) </rant> Martin Pickering (UK) ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
