I still use Emailer with Tiger.
There are five problems at present, for me, otherwise all is well:
1. Recently (I think with 10.4.7) atachments are showing up without
suffixes. not 100% of the time, but about 75% of the time. i.e., .dmg,
.png in particular have no suffix, which is a pain.
2. I dumped my Pismo, as I was tired of Classic bugs where if the machine
went to sleep, classic would start crashing, espeically when I ran a
second copy of emailer. Bad news, is it started happening again. The
normal fix is set classic to never sleep, but this is still happening.
Anytime I sleep the machine, I need to shut down classic first. pain.
3. If Emailer can not get mail (because of a weak intenet wireless
connection), I would lose my airport connect permanently, until I
restarted Classic. A pain in some travel scenarios.
4. Minor issue where dragging items or text into emailer gets diumped
twice. I think this is a symptom of the faster hardware, and with care,
can be avoided.
5. I hate when I get html attachments WITH an extra attachment. With just
a single attachment, I can use the script "html to body and strip", and
save the email. When there is a second attahcment, however, nothing
works, and I cannot save that email. No fix for this, as far as I know.
Sometimes, I cannot send email out, because of SMTP firewalls. Some
people have fixes/workarounds for this, but I have not found one for my
situations.
Outside of this, Emailier thrives. ;-)
