No, you would not have to paste anything into anything. The SMTP Auth
version of Emailer is a drop in replacement. You do NOTHING different
except start that version of Emailer. It uses your accounts as they are,
no changes, no nothing.

But you are still forced with an all or nothing setup. So if you have
some accounts that can't use SMTP Auth, then those accounts would stop
working while the SMTP Auth version is running. However, since it is a
drop in replacement, there is nothing stopping you from having both on
your machine, and run the correct version at the correct time. Just put
the SMTP Auth version in the same folder as your existing version.
Whichever you run will use the same prefs, same mail database, same
everything. Run the one you need when you need it, then quit and run the
other as needed.

And if that is no good for you, then you can give Baton Mail a whirl,
that lets you do SMTP Auth on a per account basis. But that does require
that you modify the account settings for any that you want to use Baton
Mail (you just have to change the SMTP Server). Plus Baton Mail is
unstable and doesn't always work so well :-(
