For instance, I go to Apple. Cant send on their smtp servers. Go to most businesses, which have smtp servers, I can't get out. Even happens on some wireless networks. It first happened at Kinkos, years ago, when they were still free, they changed some settings, and I would have to dial out for outgoing mail. I can't use one of my ISP's smtp servers, for some reason (mcn.org). I have two I use primarily, but when they don't work, I am stuck.
