Apologies in advance for an off-topic post, but I'm looking for a good connector for a range of CNC control box systems.
The AMP/Tyco CPC line is REALLY close, but.... What I'm looking for is a low-cost connector like that, but with 4 power contacts and at least 15 signal contacts. The power contacts should be rated to 20 A. The closest in AMP's CPC line is the 23-16M, but it only has 12 signal contacts. I need 6 for encoder ABZ and complement, 2 for encoder power, 3 for motor commutation, and 4 for limit and sense switches, that adds up to 15. A couple extra pins would be good for whatever else, like putting a motor temp sensor in the E-stop loop or whatever. AMP's CPC has no such connector. Souriau has some similar connectors in their "trim trio" line, but again, nothing with 4 20 A contacts mixed with enough signal ones. The military metal connector series like 97-series 28-11 has the contact arrangement, but when you add up shell, insert, strain relief and contacts, you are looking at close to $50 per connector end! So, does anyone know of an alternative, low-cost connector that has what I'm looking for?
