BUT, I do make special provisions so that I can get away with it. First, just because the signals go through the same connectors doesn't mean that they are in the same cable. I use shielded cable for the encoders and sometimes the sense switches, too. So, the motor power cables are outside those shields. Also, my servo amplifiers all have filtered outputs, and not just little EMI filters, but brute-force filters that reduce the PWM signal to a volt or so. So, I may have to go to two connectors, one for signals, one for the motor. it just makes things a little more complicated.
