I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing.

Assume a manual toolchange. Spindle moved to toolchange position, you change 
tools, then you'd jog to close to the switch. You'd do that with jog buttons, 
or a pendant. Then hit a button, procedure continues with next statement, the 
probe.

I'm unsure where 'programming a move/moving out of the way/back' would come in 
here.

How you'd do this with minimum pain? I'm all ears for an easy solution, which 
'Jog during Pause' obviously isnt
