WOW, that is quite amazing, then!  I have to limit my Bridgeport to 3 
in/sec^2
due to way undersized timing belts on it.  But, 5 is QUITE low, and your 
demo
really FLIES!  I think we need to get this branch at least into the 
development
master, because there are some people who could really take advantage of
it.  I rarely run into these problems, but I have seen a few projects where
the lookahead really slowed things down, even on my slow machine.  One
was engraving letters on panels from Bobcad/CAM, all tiny vector segments.

I'll have to try it on my machine!
