Ok, that makes sense. It looks like both cases are hitting the max speed of your machine, so you wouldn't see any benefit with your current settings. You might see the benefit if the line segments were shorter, or max acceleration lower. In the latter case, it lets you be more "gentle" to the machine without sacrificing top speed on short segments.
