To me saving the part from a broken tap is typically worth more than 
the cost of the tap.  But in either case, a fail safe would be 
preferred.

I will have to check the collet type on the CNC router, but if it is a 
ER20, I would be willing to buy two or more off you.  Do check with ebay 
first...
