The manual tap holders are adjustable square, there would need to be two or 
four moving in opposite direction. Ordinary chuck for drill I think have three, 
remove them, machine two new square shaped probably with a little bit less than 
90 degrees to get a good grip and you have an adjustable square tap holder. I 
guess it would be good with some spring or rubber suspension at least in z-axis 
to reduce forces from small misalignment within tap, maybe similar as on an 
axle coupler.
