Moshe,
I believe you should use 3111-1 (USA version of IEC1010-1).
In addition, you might want to look at SEMI S2-93A.

Subject: UL equivalent to the Machinery Directive?

Hello everyone,
I have a product which was CE marked for safety according to the machinery
directive. What
would the UL equivalent be?
The product is a semi manual inspection station, used by an operator at a PCB
(bare board)
manufacturer plant. The PC panel is placed on an automatically moving stage
(accessible to
the opeator) and the operator is presented with failure locations.
Would the UL3101 be applicable?
thanks in advance
Moshe
