Oops, UL standards are not recognized in the EU, but EN61010 should do (it is technically somewhat similar). The standard is listed under the LVD as well as the MSD. SEMI S2 is an entirely different animal that nevertheless maybe the only way you can sell your product to IBM, TI, Intel etc. fabs. We have done many SEMI assessments, the SEMI "guidelines" are both more and less then the EN61010. SEMI S2 maybe a future "product standard" for SEMI equipment but is a long way off at present. In the US SEMI S2 93A is increasingly the standard to comply with. Authorities having jurisdiction accept and in some cases demand SEMI S2 assessments being done (for SEMI industry applications).
