Hello group!

I would like to hear how some of you are handling the requirement to treat
LED's as a laser device, as required by amendment 11 of EN 60950.

The information I have received is that all LED's that are sources of
non-coherent light will be classed as class 1 lasers. The equipment would have
to be labeled as a class 1 laser device, and list EN60825 as one of the
standard it complies to.

This really seems excessive for a simple LED used for, as an example, power on
indication and so forth.

Thanks in advance
