Jim, Converting images to font characters or, in fact, creating font characters is not a trivial task. I did my share of font creating when I once designed ink jet printers. The key problem is that you have a very small bit map (16w x 32h is the largest I ever worked with). Creating anything complex and/or useful in that small an area is real tuff. Better that you might create .bmp files and simply insert them manually or with macros into your Word documents.
