The first is much more cost effective. With the second you have to pay the maintenance fee for both files.

The customer must of course agree to have your UL file number on the product. Under this program , only the original Listee's products will be in UL's published directories and On-Line databases. There is another way; Mutltiple Listing Program. You test the unit once. Under this program the OEM and your company must sign a Multiple Listing form with UL. Here, both companies will have a file number and each will be published in UL's published directories and On-Line databases. Best Regards
