If the series R is not an issue, a good current shunt on the low side should suffice.
For decent BW and signal isolation, I prefer the Tek A6302 probe with an AM503 amplifier. The only limitation is that the probe jaws may be too small for a 100A conductor wire. There are larger diameter current probes available, but I have do not have direct experience with their capabilities. luck, Brian -----Original Message----- From: Finlayson Joseph-G3162C [ mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 2004 5:54 AM To: 'EMC PSTC' Subject: DC Current Probes Group, I am looking to source a DC current probe to measure steady state as well as inrush currents for a modular chassis up to 100 Amps DC. My goal was to find one that can be adapted for use with a digital multimeter as well as an oscilloscope. I have found a few out there although the accuracy parameters are falling a bit short (12-15% above 40 Amps). I would be interested in looking at a number of solutions for those that have suggestions and any input you may have regarding pricing, pros and cons of the product, etc.
