If the series R is not an issue, a good current shunt on the low side should
suffice. 

For decent BW and signal isolation, I prefer the Tek A6302 probe with an AM503
amplifier. The only limitation is that the probe jaws may be too small for a
100A conductor wire. 

There are larger diameter current probes available, but I have do not have
direct experience with their capabilities.

    I am looking to source a DC current probe to measure steady state as well
as inrush currents for a modular chassis up to 100 Amps DC.  My goal was to
find one that can be adapted for use with a digital multimeter as well as an
oscilloscope.  I have found a few out there although the accuracy parameters
are falling a bit short (12-15% above 40 Amps).  I would be interested in
looking at a number of solutions for those that have suggestions and any input
you may have regarding pricing, pros and cons of the product, etc.
