This will give 5 kV/m at 50 meters. Perhaps this won't break the auto electronics but a continuous pulse stream might cause the electronics to malfunction as long as the pulse stream hits it. Knowing the lengths that the automotive EMC community goes to to prevent this exact effect, and having been involved in similar "pursuits" of my own, I have my doubts, but am interested in the opinions of others.
