Hi Mark,

Similar experience here; I was told that it is because there is no harmonized
RF Exposure Safety Standard under R&TTE or LVD. At the time it was not a big
deal so we went through the process without challenging the system.

Good luck

Subject: NB opinion and number for WLAN products CE marking.

Dear All,

I was under impression, based on the last year changes, that the wireless LAN,
802.11 a/b/g devices, as well as other product categories under R&TTE
directive are no longer required to use NB opinion and to apply their number
with CE ! mark. But now I received an information, that it is a still request
in Germany.

Could someone please respond with some clarifications or similar experience?

Thank you,

Mark Gandler
