Mark - While John W. is certainly correct, there's no cause for shame. Queries to safety certification agencies sometimes go many days without response (all of them I've ever dealt with), especially if you're not allowed to speak with an engineer directly. (One agency's addition of a layer or two of bureaucracy a couple of years ago, in the name of customer service, has been a persistent prickle.)
One recent query on a very minor technical issue took over a week to get a response. I felt I knew the answer already, but needed a formal reading from the agency to be certain there would be no snags later on. I note that you received several responses, some from those with direct similar experience a couple of contact names and numbers (sometimes as good a gold). Regards, Peter L.
