Kevin,
Many years ago, one could do the same thing by having a Hydro
Authority inspection. But that was really only good for a specific
installation and if it moved then the inspection had to be repeated at
the new facility. This was just for a trade show many years ago, but I'm
curious if that still exists and maybe even back then it was just a
one-time event - like a tradeshow - situation. Does that kind of thing
still exist? I'm just curious.

Mark:
You are quite correct about the CEC, you can set up a special inspection
of the product
with CSA, go to their website and check.
http://www.csa-international.org
Depending on where the product is going in Canada you can contact the
appropriate
office in Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver.
For EMI Industry Canada (not the FCC) manages this, the product may be
exempt but
it's best to check.
Cheers
Kevin
