Guys, Twice recently I've seen where annex B of 61000-4-6 ed2.2 is referenced by someone and used as a reason for not requiring testing down to 150 kHz "since the cable is specified as being less than x meters in length". (Of course, this is after the EUT failed at a low frequency!) Annex B is "informative" and my understanding is that it is to be used as a guide by the product standard committees to determine what frequency range is to be tested. This is similar to Annex C with regards to test level. Once the product committee has determined what frequency range and test level are to be used, and unless there is some provision in the product standard for reducing the range or level, then Annex B or C of 61000-4-6 can't be used by anyone to modify the parameters set forth by the product family standard. Am I correct in my interpretation?
