All, Of course, I am biased, having supplied the file that Scott refers to below. I wish I could volunteer to update this, but I simply do not have the time. I suggest that only one or two people should be 'editors' of the master file, which they can keep off-line and share between them (if more than one), posting a pdf version to the download area for review as with my original. The original of my pdf file is in Word 2000, and whoever is appointed (volunteers) as editor is more than welcome to a copy of the Word file, which could then be easily transferred to another format (.xls is probably more useful). The pdf version will always be readable by everybody since Acrobat Reader is available for free download from www.adobe.com . Grace, if you are volunteering to take this on, confirm that to me by direct e-mail and I'll send you the Word file. Responding to other messages on this topic, we should certainly address other standards than Wi-Fi, such as Zigbee, Bluetooth, and so on. One interesting comment received recently that supports the misinformation that has been mentioned before comes from an EU Notified Body who commented that it is estimated that about 83% of Wi-Fi (802.11x) products on the market that claim to be compliant with EU standards are not so. There is an opportunity here to produce an independent and accurate picture based on the true sources of information. Best regards

This may be useful in preparing the spreadsheet you are volunteering for. The most common file types would be .xls, .csv, .txt, .pdf, and I suppose .htm. I've never heard of .odf, but I suppose if someone can translate to/from it... Keep in mind what looks good in one format may not look at all good in another without serious reformatting. Also, what is anyone going to do with this file, will they need to just view, or search, or manipulate? That will help guide the file format. I would make the following suggestions: 1) Make the file name include some sort of version control (I use the date - 20070402 for April 2, 2007) and use underscore to replace spaces in the name; 2) If you want/need to post multiple file formats of the data, please put them in a zip file named as in the step above. This way there is only one file to store and retrieve. The file (or zip file) can be posted in the Files section of the EMC-PSTC Forum web site. While any member can post files there, I would suggest keeping this limited to one or two people. That way I won't have to do a house cleaning operation and remove the eleventy-seven variants of the thing. So I would suggest anyone can download a copy, make their changes and send to the duly delegated receiver for updating the master copy. Grace, is that you?
