Grace, There is already a file on the EMC-PSTC Forum web site, in the Files section, 802 frequency exemptions.pdf (64 KB). This may be useful in preparing the spreadsheet you are volunteering for.
The most common file types would be .xls, .csv, .txt, .pdf, and I suppose .htm. I've never heard of .odf, but I suppose if someone can translate to/from it... Keep in mind what looks good in one format may not look at all good in another without serious reformatting. Also, what is anyone going to do with this file, will they need to just view, or search, or manipulate? That will help guide the file format. I would make the following suggestions: 1) Make the file name include some sort of version control (I use the date - 20070402 for April 2, 2007) and use underscore to replace spaces in the name; 2) If you want/need to post multiple file formats of the data, please put them in a zip file named as in the step above. This way there is only one file to store and retrieve. The file (or zip file) can be posted in the Files section of the EMC-PSTC Forum web site. While any member can post files there, I would suggest keeping this limited to one or two people. That way I won't have to do a house cleaning operation and remove the eleventy-seven variants of the thing. So I would suggest anyone can download a copy, make their changes and send to the duly delegated receiver for updating the master copy. Grace, is that you?
