I am in favor of a notch from 150 kHz and 30 MHz ;<)) (and if necessary: beyond that). The North Korean, Chinese and Iranian governments (and we can name a few more, I think) will be much to happy to fill-up certain "amateur" bands with random fundamental noise. And it would not even be recognized as censorship. I think we all should not only defend the right for freedom of speech, but also the right to listen to it ! I'll agree that outside the notches there is no question when a BPL system is operating. BPL is being proposed by some as one of the command/control link methods for the Smartgrid. The EMC Society is pushing the folks working on IEEE P2030 to consider EMC as an important design parameter for Smartgrid. Ghery S.
