And this one IS not to get away with, due
to the reasons I gave:

1. Lack of specification of AC adapters transfer attenuation
2. The high risk that adapters are to be replaced once in lifetime

Even the same type of adapter a few years later
might be completely different
as the transfer attenuation is an unspecified parameter.

I'm sure you apply your extended test program ethically, but there are 
many instances where such ethical statements are taken as a 
justification for abuse of the testing process or divergence between the 
interpretations adopted by regulatory bodies, as I indicated.

Test houses that seek to maximize their profits would, of course, agree 
with you. There is, however, a large body of opinion that considers that 
there is no more to EMC testing than 'as little as you can get away 
with'.

As always, a balance is necessary.
