Peter AFAIK, European Wiring Regulations are not Harmonised, so there is no EU equivalent of the NEC as each country has its own historical wiring and wiring regulation.
Due to the current drawn, it sounds like the device is going to be Pluggable Type B and/or wiring terminals for final connection to supply so I would add a statement that "end installation must comply with local wiring regulations" or similar. I'll clarify: The current being carried is close to 16 A. Wiring is appropriately sized for this current and the length of the circuit conductors.
