My username on the emc box is gene, so on this machine from a shell:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:ssh -X -l gene shop
(give it passwd, shell prompt changes to indicate [EMAIL PROTECTED])
My default gui is axis out there, so
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:emc (choose config)

It runs just fine & actually smoother here cuz that keyboard out there is full 
of swarf. :)

It doesn't appear to for me Jeff, the only thing being exported to this 
machine if I understand things correctly is the xsession.  Keyboard, mouse, 
all work from here and I can carve all the imaginary video air I want while 
sitting nice & cozy in here.  Of course the stepper motor power is not 
enabled out there since I can't see the machine.

How are you trying to do the remote, Kirk?
