Hi John I watch the cpu usage. It was high but never 100%. So, I think it has nothing to do with the cpu power. Using the parallel port is just a cheap solution on showing that emc2 works. On the long run, I know that I have not enough IO's to control everything on that machine. Sooner or later I have to get a card for the PCI Slot of the MB to have more IO's. But for a first run, I think the PP solution is good enough. Anyway, it would be nice when I could solve the jog problem, but in the mean time I can jog at slow speeds. Next is to get the spindle running at the correct speed.....
