My latency under 8.04 was 13000, under 10.04 it's now 8000. I installed as dual boot and just copied my emc config folder over. All works fine. Onboard NVidia graphics now works properly without a crippleware driver at any resolution up to 1600x1024 instead of being limited to 1024x768. I suspect this is where the overall latency improvement comes from.
