There are several fixes in the 2.4 branch that haven't been released yet, but I think none of them have anything to do with joint mode (aka free mode). There's a bugfix for tiny metric arcs with cutter comp, one for rotated & translated coordinate systems, some fixes for g96 (css mode), and one for probe inputs on parallel port pins. And a fix for the Axis surprise-jog bug you ran in to. Plus a ton of doc fixes, and some stuff in pncconf and stepconf.
