According to an older post of the OP, it is just the motor laying on the table, at the moment. The Stepgen config tool runs it nicely, but emc/axis is very slow, again according to his original post. According to later posts, it is unclear whether the computer is running fine but the motor is slow, or if perchance his base thread is too fast & the computer is unresponsive.
