That is because there is very little effect. The only real change is
that the jog-speed of that axis is now controlled by the linear slider
rather than the angular one. You still (for example) can't cut curves
in an XA plane, and I think that the Axis preview still assumes that
the A-axis is rotary if you ask it to display the A-motion.
