Yeah, well I almost fit in that same category as I've only built perhaps 100 kernels over the last 12 years, but only one since switching to pclos on this machine. But OTOH, I have to assume that should a huge problem be discovered in the default kernel for the upcoming 12-04 release, that the guys would be forced to issue another rtai equipt kernel. It hasn't happened that I can recall since switching to Ubuntu with the first of the LTS releases, but just as sure as TPTB says it won't happen, Murphy will force their hand.
