Well how he got a config matters little if the underlying problem is say the
parallel port or realtime.
Did you do a latency test?
When using the stepconfig program did you try the stepper test?
Did it work?
Can use see if the parallel port is outputting _any_ signals?
I few general things come to mind:
-you don't have the realtime version of linuxcnc - but the stepper test would
have failed.
-your parallel port address is wrong.
the stepper test is your benchmark - if it doesn't move in the step test, it
won't move anywhere
else. (though the opossite is not necessarily true!)
