Viesturs (and others) Now while I have not implemented the CAD profile in the FreeWRL rendering engine, you *may* want to have a look at it for your tablet-based 1495 parts CAD model.
The CAD component is quite simple to implement, just never seemed to have the time and/or inclination. Other things, like machining, taking the dog for a walk, and especially being in contact with my wife seem to take priority (!!) , but feel free to "bug" me about it if it is of interest. Right now my focus for my "FreeX3D" Android app is to allow STL-model-interested people to modify the appearance of their STL model; cube mapping, spherical environment mapping, procedural texturing so that their models have a "wow" factor. The UI also needs work, but that is in progress. Once that is done, more work on actually manipulating models, much more than the current common vertex/degenerate triangle locating code that it currently does. John A.
