Ah, yes, but then my daughter ran my old one through a power pole, not
just the residential size but the kind with a dual 45 KV feeder on it, and
sheared the pole completely in half.  Powered down our entire town
for an evening.  She walked away from the wreck without a scratch.
My guess is that a Geo Metro would have left her in pieces.  Sometimes
all that extra weight modern cars carry has its uses.

Well, but my Civic Hybrid DOES beat your Metro MPG, in REAL USE by ME!
It has a CVT with a computer-controlled "start clutch", no torque converter!
