You could fit two sets of timing belt pulleys, and then switch between
two ranges (at some effort).

If you flash the 5i25 with the 7i77 / 7i76 firmware you have stepgens
on the second header.
Though you can get 300 rpm using the 7i77 GPIO and a software stepgen.
