Adding an extra axis adds a lot more than it needed. You don't need the PID and you don't actually have the extra axis. Why not try doing it the way I said? Just change the Hostmot2 configuration string to have 4 encoders and then make the other changes I suggested? In the configuration you have the hostmot2 confog string is actually defined in the INI file and read from the INI file into the HAL file.
