Any code dependent on an external signal, such as g33.1, or the G38.family or G76, will not function on the simulator because that index pulse is not generated by the simulator. That said, I'd imagine it could be dummied up to run with a creative .hal file. Note I didn't say work correctly, but would at least demo that the code is executable. You would have to start by creating a dummy spindle speed servo, whose outputs then drove an encoder module with the appropriately timed signals for ABX. Hal file wise, I'd imagine I'd go down the garden path and get lost enough times that it would take about a week just to get something that worked wrong. Is it worth the potentially saved tooling to do that? If a for a living shop, my guess is no, thats too much other lost income time. But for me, its easier to take the test code to a real machine & have fast reflexes in case it goes aglay. The only place I am setup to do that threading, rigid or G76 is on my lathe, although I expect to be able to do it on the mill at some point down the log a ways.
