There are no pid's used in this configuration Jon. Nor is there a 
base-thread.  Till now I haven't missed them. Trajectory is I believe 
doing it all.  halscope, without a base-thread, isn't that usefull for 
observing transients when its sample rate is only one kilohertz. I may 
double that if I see I have cpu left when this is done. I can spin the 
dial fast enough to make it skip counts at 1 kilohertz for the servo 
thread, and I don't like that thought when my micrometer says I need to 
take off another .0073" and I'm trying to dial that up to do a fresh 
touch-off. It won't be turning that fast when setting that, but still...
