2.5.4 is really quite old.
Yes, and 2.5.5 is also plenty old. The biggie is to not
allow the OS to be updated, as that will lose the RT kernel
in most cases. If you are going to update, go to the latest
stable release. There are a LOT of important improvements.
But, if you are running on really old, slow hardware, then
2.7 and the associated newer kernels and Xwindows may not
run well at all on that.
