It now errors and quits with:

I meant _just_ do that. No random hal files, no random zip files. Just a
normal LinuxCNC install with those two lines in the "display" section.

IDK, its not in align.zip, and its not in any cam view stuff I can find.
This directory had a lot of trash in it that I just moved to a subdir
"attic" to get it out of the way.
Then I went thru the ini file and commented out all other references
except for the pyvcp stuff I've had
in my config since about 2017 when I first embarked on trying to make
this thing Just Work.
Basically I have had it working, in various stages of usefulness 4 or 5
times, with the then instant
version of master, which I update from the build bot every 2 or 3 days.
Align, which has been part of my GUI, but useless w/o the camera, since
2017. So much digital
water has gone down the river of time since then as I try to make it
work, but only till the next
update. Then its gone again. John won't let me post any pix, which I
feel could troubleshoot
this once and for all. It does run ATI but qtvcp throws up an error
window that both too small
to contain the error, is not copy paste able so I'd have to take around
4 shots of it to get all the
error text.
So what I'll do, is tarball this particular config directory, and put
the tarball on my web page.
Load it up and see if you or C.M. can figure it out. I'm plumb done
arguing with john over trying
to post something that others on this list might find useful, either to
use for themselves or to try
and help me figure it out. I see bigger gfx from others he does pass,
but obviously I am not in his cliq.
So give me an hour to collect it all and put it on my web page under a
Go704 subdir.
I'll put screenshots,, the config as a tarball and the qtvcp log.
If pyvcp makes a log, I'll post that too.
