Hello! I was asked to implement a very basic DRO for one encoder. That is for rear stop on bending press. Original controls are out of order, they have manual control of moving rear stop with buttons directly wired to VFD, but there is nothing to show actual position (there is encoder mounted on the shaft that moves the rear stop). Owner said that they do not want to invest too much as the machine is old etc, so I thought about adding DRO for that single encoder. But I could not find much of options that could be used for this. Aliexpress had zero matches, ebay had the same unit for a higher price. So I would like to ask, if there are any other possible solutions that I should look at in the same price range below 100 eur I would like to avoid doing DIY Arduino project, because hardware will cost a lot less, but that will take a lot more of my time...
