Do I understand correctly that it has both LCD and ESP32 controller? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33048962331.html Display should be fine, IMHO 4 digits is enough (3 digits before and 1 after decimal point). Ok, I might try it, seems like that listing has version with enclosure for almost 17 eur. I do not think that user would need to fiddle with it any kind of settings, scale factor and home position can be hardcoded. The question is about encoder pulses - does this accept 5V inputs directly? I did a small project for my solar inverter with Arduino Nano ESP32 and that had 3.3V input tolerance > > That can count fast enough to follow a spindle encoder (in the example > in the repository) but it is possible that your application might > exceed the max count rate. > I did not yet check how fast would the encoder spin and what is its CPR, but I would like to think that ESP32 is fast enough - 1000 CPR encoder at 3000 rev/min is 50kHz pulse rate. IMHO should be fine especially if its only task is actually counting pulses. Or am I missing something?
