Not many anymore. Until very recently Werner had been underpaid and undersupported, and he's got a wife and young daughter to support. Summer of 2013 he almost pulled the plug on the whole thing in order to take a regular paying job to support his family. http://www.propublica.org/article/the-worlds-email-encryption-software-relies-on-one-guy-who-is-going-broke Nicolai, speaking for Enigmail, said "If there is one nightmare that we fear, then it's the fact that Werner Koch is no longer available ... It's a shame that he is alone and that he has such a bad financial situation." And he's absolutely right. I'm breathing easier now that Werner's got some funding, but if you think we haven't been close to losing Werner -- or that it couldn't happen again -- then you're just naïve.
