Hello again -- I'm afraid that even with  File > Import keys from File 
in Enigmail, I get what must be errors as the window in Key Management
remains empty.  I've tried three imports and get :

Either I get this:


The key(s) were successfully imported


gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.

gpg: Total number processed: 0



OR I get this when I try importing exported PGP keys


The key(s) were successfully imported


gpg: [don't know]: invalid packet (ctb=2f)

gpg: keydb_get_keyblock failed: Unknown system error
