Same here. I'm waiting calmly for the theme to get ready so I can #ifdef
some parts and effects and have a more usable theme without all these
annoying effects. This happened with Terminology, we had so many people
doing local changes to make it usable that I created the "mild" version
that is now used by quite a lot of people.

In a related note, I'd love to have multiple themes to choose at default
e17 install. Dark suddenly got in as default, many people liked black &
white and I'm more into "detourious". So having these 3 would be nice. I
recall that Tasn proposed it at E Dev Day (Barcelona). Detourious is pretty
complete and usable, people "dislike" it because it reminds too much of
Apple, not because it's ugly or unusable.
